Bache Gabrielsen Hors d'Age Grande Champagne Cognacは、Cognacのプルミエ・クリュからの見事なブレンドで、このメゾンの専門技術の頂点を表しています。この特別なコニャックは主にユニ・ブラン種から造られ、オー・ド・ヴィはグランド・シャンパーニュ地方の様々なブイユール・ド・クリュから供給される。容量20～30ヘクトリットルの伝統的な銅製アランビックで澱とともに蒸留され、このブレンドに使用されるオー・ド・ヴィは、湿度の高いセラーで50～70年熟成され、驚くべき深みと複雑さを与えている。
熟成に使用された樽はコニャックの様々な有名なクーパレージのもので、ミディアム以上のトースト香と粗めの木目を持ち、このコニャックのリッチでフルボディの特徴に貢献している。色は完全に自然なもので、人工的な添加物は使用していない。しかし、風味のバランスをとるために1リットルあたり12グラムの液糖が加えられており、ブレンドの自然な活力を保ちながら滑らかさを高めている。このコニャックの特徴は、何十年もの樽熟成にもかかわらず、フレッシュで生き生きとした味わいを保つことができることである。

This is a top 5 maybe top 3 Cognac I’ve ever experienced (and experience is the correct word). Unbelievable complexity, fruit forward, rancio, so much going on and yet balanced. It’s honestly hard to describe. There’s a reason most everyone raves about this bottle.
