Pack each bottle as secure as possible while have a minimum volumetric weight of each parcel.
Each bottle needs to be secured separately.
1. Use plain carton boxes
Using a neutral plain white / brown carton is helpful. Avoid any information about the goods carried and the concerned value.
2. Double-wall carton
Please double-wall carton. This strongly improves the security during transit.
3. Separate bottle security
The bottle should be secured separately using bubble wrap or inflatables.
We recommend at least two layers of bubble wrap.
4. Special security of the cap / neck
The cap and neck of the bottle should be specially secured to avoid damage due to impacts.
It should be tightly secured with an extra layer of protection.
5. Stopper / Crystal stopper
Stopper and especially crystal stopper have to be secured with bubble wrap extra safely, apart from the bottle.
Use at least two layers of bubble wrap and put enough styropor chips between stopper and bottles to avoid direct contact.
6. Fill up of the parcel
Use styropor chips or styropor plates to avoid movement of the bottle.
Expect improper handling by the logistic carrier.
7. Card boxes of bottle / extra packaging
Card-boxes of bottles are placed pleated at the bottom of the parcel. If possible fold the box.
Never put bottles in boxes or card-boxes.
8. Carrier & Shipment
We recommend to use the national carrier (USPS, Canada Post, China Post etc.)
Always insure the shipment and use a trackable shipping solution.
Tracking details have to be forward to Cognac Expert as soon as available including the receipt for shipment.
