Description
A Vallein Tercinier Fine Champagne Cognac
The Vallein Tercinier Hors d'Age Cognac really needs to be tasted to be believed, as it boasts ultra-premium level quality, surprisingly however, without the ultra-premium price tag to match. This affordable blend of both Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie is an award winning offering - from a house that takes true pride in its small, but simply sublime range of brandy and spirits.
A beautifully balanced blend that has been created from over 20 different eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which has spent a minimum of four decades whiling away in oak barrels, during which time Mother Nature worked her magic.
The house of Vallein Tercinier are a proud family of cellarmasters that have benefitted from five generations of wisdom, expertise and the all-important secrets behind producing some of the very best eaux-de-vie of the Champagne region.
Presentation of the bottle
It’s presented in a simplistic, traditional style bottle, proving once and for all that you don't need bells and whistles to advertise an extraordinary taste experience - all you need is an outstanding Cognac. Embodying extra fine quality, its delicious deep golden copper colouring adds a luxurious finishing touch to this bottle, which also comes boxed in a wooden case for storage.
How to enjoy
As this is a very old Hors d’Age Cognac, it is best enjoyed neat. However, for those who are open to a more adventurous tasting experience - the spicy notes and silky finish of this Cognac also pair perfectly with an equally rich piece of dark chocolate.

Great value, highly recommended
Inviting, cooling nose of sandalwood, ylang-ylang and mace. The palate is beautifully balanced, with tannic oak, longan, sandalwood, bitter cinnamon competing for attention. The finish is of medium length. A lovely cognac, strongly recommended.
Very complex and balanced.
Starts off with some fruit such as pear and apple. I get lots of spice, pepper and a complex finish with some wood at the end. It's not sweet which I like. There are many flavors which I can't distinguish. This one offers a lot of flavor for the price.
Fruity Price-Quality King
A really great entry point for a Whisky drinker to start into Cognac. So wonderful and drinkable with tons of fruits. The nose isn’t the most expressive, but nice fruity and floral. The 42 abv are matching, although the mouthfeel is a little thin. The palate has great exotic and stone fruits. Great,...
Great value - Hors d´Age Cognac Vallein Tercinier
The colour is a deep amber with golden reflexes. On the nose (over) ripe apricots, stewed fruits, oranges, vanilla, freshness of mint, herbal tea, decent rancio - a rather complex and fine nose. The palate is a mix of ripe orchard fruits, exotic fruits (mangos), fine raisins, honey and refreshing...
Vallein Tercinier Hors d'Age Cognac
Nose: Emphatic and powerful, on stewed stone fruit, some apricot, tangerine, maybe mango ; Then eucalyptus and spices, cinnamon, vanilla, complex. Palate: Definitely more on spices first, peppery, cinnamon and nutmeg, woody as well ; Then it becomes syrupy, with honey, raisins, melon, orange blossom...
About Vallein Tercinier Cognac
With over 500 years of history, the artisan house of Vallein Tercinier is one that deserves the attention of all Cognac lovers – from those new to eaux-de-vie to the connoisseur. This brother and sister team bring an expertise to craft Cognac that's just aching to be discovered.
Many of their Cognac's have been awarded top class awards in many industry competitions, and this has meant a growing awareness of their products in some quarters. But, as with the aging process of Cognac, such a small craft brand is often lost amongst the noise razzmatazz of the 'big boys'. And that really is a crime, because as many esteemed connoiseurs are finding out, the offerings of Vallein Tercinier are of superb quality, unique, and once you've discovered them, will become a 'must have' brand to always have in your drinks cabinet.
Catherine and Louis are very proud to have stepped into the shoes of their many ancestors. And as is in keeping with family tradition, the've continued to move the company forward, whilst remaining true to the pure art of Cognac production. They've adapted the facilities to take full advantage of modern technology, and continue to produce some very special Cognacs indeed.
