Description
Tiffon Cuvée 150 Cognac
Created to commemorate 150 years of Cognac excellence, Tiffon Cuvée 150 Cognac is a masterpiece that represents the heritage and expertise of the historic house of Tiffon. This highly limited release, with only 150 individually numbered bottles, brings together some of the rarest eaux-de-vie from the estate’s paradis cellar, making it a true collector’s item.
Carefully curated from the renowned crus of Fins Bois, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Borderies, this blend embodies the finest characteristics of each terroir. Aged in French oak barrels and dame-jeanne for a minimum of 50 years, with some eaux-de-vie surpassing 100 years, Tiffon Cuvée 150 presents a depth of character that few Cognacs can achieve.
From the first nosing, it captivates with rich and complex aromas of dried fruits, honey, and warm spices, layered with hints of vanilla and floral undertones. The palate is exceptionally smooth, revealing a sophisticated blend of candied orange, toasted almonds, and aged oak, perfectly balanced with delicate spices. The finish is long and evolving, leaving behind elegant notes of dark chocolate, nutmeg, and rancio, a signature of well-aged Cognacs.
Presentation of the bottle
The Tiffon Cuvée 150 is housed in a striking matte black decanter, adorned with embossed silver detailing that reflects the grandeur of this milestone release. The bottle is enclosed in a beautifully crafted wooden frame, signed by M. Tiffon, reinforcing its exclusivity. Every aspect of its presentation has been designed to honor Tiffon’s heritage and craftsmanship, making it a showpiece for any serious collector.
How to drink
To fully appreciate the complexity of Tiffon Cuvée 150, it is best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass, allowing the aromas to unfold gradually. Letting it rest for a few moments before the first sip enhances its depth and brings out the intricate layers of flavor. This Cognac pairs exceptionally well with dark chocolate, fine pastries, or a delicate cigar, elevating the tasting experience to a moment of true indulgence.
About Tiffon Cognac
With strong ties to the Scandinavian country of Norway, the history of Cognac Tiffon dates back to 1875. Tiffon is to this day a family run business, and is based at the beautiful family home, the Chateau de Triac, just 5 kms from the town of Jarnac. The Chateau itself has a battle-scarred and convoluted history, dating back to the 11th century, which includes being razed to the ground by fires and completely demolished during the Hundred Years’ War. Today, the family grows 40 hectares of Grande Champagne and Fins Bois vines, overseen by cellar master Richard Braastad, who comes from an old cognac producers’ family.
