A lively and sublime bottling - La Saga by Roland Bru Cognac

A harmonious blend of six different eaux-de-vie, Roland Bru La Saga Cognac is an inspirational bottling. Each of the eau-de-vie represents the values and symbolism of the man and Cognac house - the “saga” of his life. It is bottled and proofed at a higher than usual alcohol content of 42.1%, which occurs naturally. This is the result of many years spent maturing. The end result is the desired liveliness that makes this Cognac so special.

Roland Bru selects eaux-de-vie from the finest terroirs, including the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois.

Run for three generations by the Bru family, the Moisins Distillery has been a site of magic for many years.Roland Bru acquired the property in 1955 in Sireuil, the heart of Cognac. He decided that to make the best Cognacs, he would have to be quite patient, and so he stored away some of his oldest and finest Cognacs to leave them to age even longer.

La Saga Cognac Bru Serving Suggestions

This Cognac pairs beautifully with fish such as oysters and seared scallops. Try the oysters with mirin, or the scallops with Mediterranean vegetables and a lemon dressing.

Presentation

We love the contemporary, off-the-wall design for the Cognac decanter. Slanted slightly to the side, this will take pride of place in your cabinet. It arrives in a stunning ruby red presentation box.
