The Prunier Horizon Fine Champagne Cognac shows the harmonious union of exceptionally aged eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, expanding the boundaries of sensory experience. With a composition of 70% Grande Champagne and 30% Petite Champagne, this blend showcases the best of both terroirs, crafted from 100% Ugni blanc grapes grown in clay-limestone soil.
The youngest Cognac in the blend dates back to 1988, while the oldest dates back to 1966. Each Cognac is aged separately in 200 and 400-liter old oak barrels, benefiting from the ideal ambient conditions of Prunier's cellars in Gimeux. The natural humidity provided by the adjacent river enhances the aging potential, resulting in a spirit of remarkable depth and complexity.
On the nose, the Prunier Horizon Fine Champagne Cognac offers a deep, expansive, and complex bouquet. Notes of white truffle, butter, cream, ripe banana, clove, and orange peel unfold gradually, balanced by fine tannins, delicate rancio, and complex spices like clove and tobacco. The palate mirrors the nose with a magnificent balance, offering surprising depth and variety of flavors. The finish is long and sophisticated, with lingering notes of undergrowth and delicate rancio, making this a truly classic and characterful Cognac.

This Cognac is a real winner. It kicks off with a rich, intriguing nose—think white truffle, butter, cream, banana, and just a touch of spice. On the palate, it’s smooth and surprisingly deep, finishing long with a subtle, lingering rancio. Great value and definitely a must-have for any Cognac...
Tasted from a sample of the Advent Calendar. Beautiful golden colour. Oranges and orange peels on the nose together with fine pastry and spices. Lots of fruits on the palate with well integrated alcohol and some spices. The cognac is ending on spices with medium length.
This is a new product from Prunier. I haven't tasted it before. But I know I can always trust Stephan Burnez, he is creating honest products. This cognac has a nice golden color with large tears inside the glass. It is rich on the nose with a bit unusual aromas. My first though when I smell the glass...
