Eye: Royal amber, with a balanced hue of softer tones.

Nose: Complementing its complex eaux-de-vie are aromas of eucalyptus and exotic fruits including kumquats, guava, melon.

Palate: Spiciness réminiscence of a campfire with a hint of dry wood and a touch of spice. Very long finish with a creamy linger.

Description

Paul Beau Hors d'Age Cognac

An exceptional cognac, with plenty of “rancio” flavour, the Paul Beau Hors d'Age Cognac is a beautiful balance of sweet and spice. With the reminiscence of a campfire, lit with exotic spice, it presents warm familiarity tinged with nostalgia. Thanks to particularly fine aging of 25 years, it has developed an intriguing complexity and an impressive lingering. A slightly higher than the usual strength of 43% enhances this Cognac further to offer an exceptional journey from the exotic opening to the spicy finish.

Produced by a Cognac house dating back to the 19th century, with over 100 hectares of prime Grande Champagne vineyards, the exceptionality of this Cognac is evident in its origins. Recognized for its efforts, the Paul Beau Hors d'Age Cognac has won 5 Gold Medals at Concours Général de Paris since 2000, plus numerous medals at the IWSC. In 2009, Paul Beau was awarded a special prize in Paris for the consistency of their products. Exceptional value for money, this is a selection you won’t want to miss.

Presentation of the bottle

A simple statement of expertise and fine eaux-de-vie, the Paul Beau Hors d'Age Cognac is a picture-perfect representation of a fine creation. With a clean white label, stamped with gold script type and renowned branding its minimalistic design lets the Cognac inside speak for itself. Finished in a fine presentation box, its simplicity effortlessly conveys sophistication. A perfect gift, or feature in a drinks cabinet.

How to enjoy

About Paul Beau Cognac

The family business was founded in the 19th century by Samuel Beau, Paul's father. It was that the brand was created in 1977 by Guy, Olivier's father.

Today, Olivier represents the 5th generation. He farms 60ha exclusively in Grande Champagne and continues the commercial adventure with Léa, his wife.

Maison Paul Beau has always been based in the heart of Cognac, on the finest land in Grande Champagne. The vineyards are equally divided between Segonzac, Verrières and Roissac.

Olivier runs the "Laurichesse" vineyard in Verrières, as does his father, Guy, his uncle, Yves, and his grandfather, Gaston. In Segonzac, it's his mother's "Petit-Beau" that he is proud to take care of.
