Description
Pasquet "Trésors de Famille" Le Cognac de Jean-Pierre
Pasquet "Trésors de Famille" Le Cognac de Jean-Pierre is a tribute to tradition and sustainable viticulture, produced in the heart of Grande Champagne, specifically Angeac Champagne. This rare Cognac is part of the Trésors de Famille series, showcasing unique barrels from local friends and growers, carefully curated and matured to perfection.
Distilled and aged by Jean-Pierre Limouzin from the 1975 harvest, this Cognac was matured for 47 years in a humid cellar before being bottled without chill filtration or coloring. The result is an authentic expression of terroir and time, offering an experience rich in nuance.
The nose presents an elegant rancio paired with notes of dried grapes, a hint of beeswax, and evolving layers of mandarin, lemon, and blood orange. Subtle hints of tobacco bring depth to the bouquet. On the palate, it opens with softness and roundness, delivering flavors of Corinth raisins and a citrusy brightness led by blood orange. The finish is long and distinguished by a vibrant rancio, with an aftertaste of spice and pepper that lingers on the tongue.
Presentation of the bottle
This Cognac is presented in a compact and refined 50cl bottle, paired with a case. Its design is modest and elegant, reflecting the authenticity of its content. The label is clean and simple, focusing attention on the name and origin of the Cognac. It is an appealing item for collectors and serious enthusiasts alike.
How to drink
This Cognac is best enjoyed neat to allow its full complexity to shine. Given its 49.8% ABV, it can also be appreciated with a few drops of water to open up the aromas further. Ideal for contemplative sipping or sharing among connoisseurs.
About Pasquet Cognac
Certified organic Cognac house Pasquet perfectly strikes the balance between the warmth of family tradition and innovative savoir-faire. In order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s, the Pasquet family reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods. It was here that they found a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves. Since being awarded ‘Agriculture Biologique’ status in 1998, they haven’t looked back, continuing to craft small-batch Cognacs that epitomize natural beauty and balance. With versatile ranges such as ‘L’Organic’ and ‘Esprit de la Famille,’ the Pasquet family ensures that every step of production respects the environment, resulting in a very special collection of Cognacs.
