Nose: Beautiful, pristine, and extraordinarily clean. The bouquet offers a masterclass in purity, where absolutely nothing obscures the abundance of pretty, floral, and peachy fruit. The yellow peach fruit notes present themselves in all shapes and sizes, dripping with oozy, vibrant juice. Subtle undertones of miel de fleurs (flower honey) and a faint touch of vanilla drift through, while oak remains noticeably and beautifully absent. It is truly incredible how a Grande Champagne of this age can remain so utterly "wrinkle-free", keeping its delicate fruit profile perfectly intact over half a century. With just minutes in the glass, its haunting aromas fill the air.

Palate: On the palate, the exceptional fruit from the nose takes centre stage, framed by just a whisper of vanilla and a delicate, background structure from the wood. Interestingly, there is more wood on the palate providing a spine. This Cognac masterfully keeps the oak in the shadows, a brilliant choice by the house, as masking fruit this present, clean, and pure would be a disservice. Impeccable Grande Champagne, and while typical for the cru, the elegance, purity, supple and delicate fruit are amped up here. This Cognac can age for an eternity if given the chance. Like most Cognacs from Marancheville, stunning!

Finish & Structure: The finish is remarkably long and driven. Bottled at a slightly higher-than-typical ABV, it possesses a commanding spine and a vibrant energy that carries the flavours through a persistent conclusion. No need to rush a Cognac like this.
