Eye: Dark, rich, amber golden yellow with red tint.

Nose: Delicate and intriguing aromas of precious wood, wax and dried flower petals. Rich and complex nose with generous notes of sweet roses, vanilla and orange peel.

Taste: An equally rich flavor profile on the palate, with intense spice, vanilla and oak notes. Intense rancio notes with honey flavors and a slightly dry finish. A smooth and still powerful, full-bodied finish.

Description

Lavenat Très Vieux Cognac

Lavenat Très Vieux Cognac is a beautifully well-matured Fins Bois Cognac that spent an average of 60 years aging in French oak barrels. With such a staggering average age - talk about getting more than what you bargained for?

Produced in very small quantities all of the Cognacs produced by Lavenat have been made with love and unquestionable passion. Fronted by Bernard Lavenat who takes the role of the cellar master, Bernard doesn’t remember a day when Cognac production wasn’t at the centre of his world. His admirable enthusiasm and passion for the craft are embodied through each and every Cognac in his small collection of products.

Presentation of the bottle

Presented in a tall and slim, classic Cognacaise bottle, this offering pays homage to the art of simplicity. Sleek in appearance it will fit in well with other mature Cognacs in a collection while holding its own as a truly elegant bottle dripping in heritage.

How to enjoy

A very old Cognac of such fine quality and esteemed age merits being served in its purest form - neat and at room temperature. Pour the precious nectar into a tulip glass and let it rest for a few minutes before taking your first sip. This way, the aromas will be given time to evolve and open up to their fullest potential.
