Description

Hardy Perfection Series Air Cognac

Aged a minimum of 30 years in limousin oak, with some elements of eaux-de-vie dating back to pre-phylloxera 1870′s, the Hardy Perfection Series Air Cognac is an astounding release that honors the history of this legendary producer. Thinking of his family’s future, the founder of the House of Hardy gathered several batches of eaux-de-vie to be saved for generations to come. This is an unblended Premier Cru Cognac, crafted with 100% French Colombard grapes sourced from the Grande Champagne region. Presented at a natural cask strength of 41% ABV, it is truly a rare Cognac for those who demand the finest. Treat yourself to a taste of history - once the last drop is gone, it can never be replicated.

Hardy states that this is "the world's oldest known unblended Cognac"

The English wine and spirits merchant Anthony Hardy made the decision to establish himself as a Cognac trader as far back as 1863. He changed his name to the more French-sounding Antoine and set up business as a distiller and dealer of Cognac. Within only a few years he was being recognized for the quality of his products and built up a strong supply of eaux-de-vie; lucky indeed, as the phylloxera epidemic was soon to take hold. Hardy came out on the other side and expanded into an international network of distributors. Throughout the 20th Century, the House only grew stronger - and over 100 years after Antoine first opened its doors, the famous Perfection Series of unblended vintages was released. The perfect packaging for this flagship product was of course created by Daum crystal, creating an iconic look that is still as fresh today.

In the 21st Century, the House of Hardy is appropriately run by two women - Bénédicte and Sophie Hardy - who continue to promote their family brand across North America and Europe. With a constant focus on the luxury end of the Cognac trade, Hardy Cognacs are still presented in beautiful crystal decanters, recognizable around the world.

How to Enjoy Hardy Perfection Series Air Cognac

Take the time to leave this Cognac to rest in your glass before tasting it, and prepare yourself for the moment when you take the first sip. For the best tasting experience, serve at room temperature, or slightly chilled, in a tulip glass.
