If you loved the Famille Cabanne Lot 24 and Lot 58, you’re going to want to meet its incredible new Famille Cabanne release: the Lot 79 Bons Bois Cognac. Aged 46 years, this single barrel beauty delivers everything we admire: pristine & precise aromas, tremendous intensity, advanced age, and elegance—all without much fluff. And at this age, it's a rare Bons Bois find.
Presented at 62.5% ABV, the Lot 79 retains the full character of the eaux-de-vie as they rested in oak for decades. The result is a Cognac with both power and refinement, displaying fruit-driven aromatics complemented by depth and maturity. It represents an authentic glimpse into a single-cru expression of Bons Bois Cognac, rare to encounter at such natural strength.
Presentation of the bottle
The Lot 79 comes in the modern "Galaxy" 70cl bottle. Its sleek lines and tall profile highlight the deep amber Cognac inside. The label is clean and minimalistic, emphasizing the Famille Cabanne name, the cru, and the lot number. Limited to just 256 bottles, each carries an aura of exclusivity and collector appeal.
How to drink
This Cognac is best enjoyed neat, allowing its full strength and complexity to be appreciated without dilution. For those who prefer to soften the intensity, a few drops of water can help open up additional layers of aroma and flavor. Suitable for contemplative sipping, it is a Cognac that rewards patience and attention.

Out of this world!
We tried this bottle at our whisky tasting session, and it was a real treat! The aroma is lovely, and when you taste it, you'll immediately realise that this is something special. And Bons Bois can be refreshingly unvarnished, so let’s not dally... Colour: golden amber. Nose: sacrebleu! My British friends...
