Description
Domaine la Prenellerie Hors d'Age Cognac
The Domaine la Prenellerie Hors d'Age Cognac is a distinguished spirit made from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes, representing decades of family tradition. Distilled without lees in traditional 20-hectoliter alambics, this Hors d'Age Cognac has been aged for over 50 years in fine-grain, medium-plus toasted oak barrels from the renowned Vicard cooperage. Maturing in humid cellars, the Cognac develops a complex depth while retaining its natural color, free from additives.
Known as a "family Cognac," this exceptional spirit is a true reflection of the family’s passion and expertise, passed down through generations. Under the careful watch of maître de chai Frédéric Billonneau, who continues the legacy established in 1966, the Cognac achieves remarkable finesse and sophistication.
On the nose, this Hors d'Age reveals an intricate bouquet of floral aromas, including delicate rose petals, intertwined with tropical notes of ripe mango and the earthy scent of cedarwood. The palate follows through with a harmonious blend of tropical fruit and subtle floral undertones, enhanced by a smooth cedar finish. Its rich, velvety texture makes it a pleasure to sip, offering a long-lasting and evolving flavor profile with each taste.
Presentation of the Decanter
The Domaine la Prenellerie Hors d'Age Cognac is presented in an elegant square 500ml decanter, highlighting its premium status. Sealed with a wooden cork, the bottle design reflects the heritage and craftsmanship that goes into creating this exceptional Cognac, making it a stunning addition to any collection.
How to Drink
For the best experience, enjoy this Hors d'Age Cognac neat to allow its complex flavors to fully develop. A drop of water can be added to open up the bouquet and accentuate its nuanced aromas. Whether sipped as an aperitif, paired with strong cheeses, or savored as a digestif, this Cognac promises a luxurious tasting journey.

Fine and complex Bon Bois - Domaine la Prenellerie Hors d´Age
Light amber colour. Mature nose on sweet oranges, dried mangos, leather, fine old wood and spices. On the palate quite fullbodied, sweet tropical friuts, bitteroranges and spices. The finish is medium to long - fruity sweetness followed by elegant bitterness of wood and some fine spicy notes. Fine...
Mature Bons Bois
Mature bons bois cognacs can be very good and interesting, or more forgettable. It is therefore always very exciting to find out what you have in the glass when you taste these cognacs. Grosperrin, Lheraud and Vallein Tercinier have shown us how good this can be. This cognac has a nice golden color....
Lovely 50 year old bon bois.
A steal for a 50 year old Cognac. I found more toasted oak on the nose and the palate than cedar wood personally (as they have in the description). There’s certainly some stone fruit, green underripe mango, stewed apples with cinnamon and florals that I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what...
Complex and Sophisticated
Great Bons Bois, more mellow and not as rustic as other Bons Bois Cognacs. Nose: Mango, exotic flavors, more tropical fruits, a bit spicy, and of course fine old oak and the smell of an old cellar floor. Very soft. Mouth: Exotic tropical fruits with mango leading, some spices, a bit of peach at...
