Description
Brillet Très Rare Cognac
Brillet Très Rare Single Grande Champagne Cognac is a very unique Cognac and as the name suggests - it is an incredibly rare one too. Made from a small batch of the same exceptional Cognac, the eaux-de-vie is patiently and naturally aged in barrels made from Limousin oak, until full maturity is achieved and they are ready to be stored in 25 litre demijohns. The temperament as well as the opulence of this special Cognac is testament to the extraordinary quality of the eau-de-vie that was distilled at the beginning of the 20th century (Confirmed by an expert appraisal February 19, 1999). Note: Cognacs aged in demijohns are sparse and few - a small number of demijohns are still available for the most dedicated and privileged Cognac enthusiasts alike.
Cognac House Brillet is one of the oldest manufacturers in the Cognac region, dating back to 1656. Brillet is known for its unique production technology and exceptional quality Cognac, Pineau and Liquor Belle de Brillet products. The house matures it's Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie between 10 and 100 years in oak barrels - producing only single-cru Cognacs and guaranteeing their uniqueness and quality.
Presentation of the bottle
Housed in a classic decanter, Brillet Tres Rare Cognac is dressed with traditional finishing touches including a ribbon and a deep bronze wax seal around the neck of the bottle. The quintessential labelwork is imprinted with a swirly font to match, embodying the rich history of the product and the brand itself which remains steeped in tradition.
How to enjoy
To experience such a fine and well-aged Cognac in all its potential, Brillet Tres Rare Cognac is best enjoyed - neat at room temperature. Try adding a few ice cubes to the glass if you’re seeking a more refreshing tipple - this will lengthen the tasting slightly too. Sit back, relax and make a toast - to rare sought-after Cognac finds. Santé!
About Brillet J R Cognac
Proud of its family tradition, Brillet Cognac insists that the history is entirely linked to that of cognac. As early on as 1656, Guy Brillet installed his first alembic (the classic still) at his property in the Grande Champagne. This was the introduction of the double distillation process that creates cognac to this day. The Brillets live off their philosophy that things made with care are more valuable, sticking to traditional techniques of production and packaging. Their motto is not to impress through high maintenance or expensive containers, but rather through a humble and high quality aesthetic: a real family business!
