Brillet Heritage Brut De Fut 45% Cognac
A "complete package", the Brillet Heritage Brut De Fut 45% Cognac is truly a connoisseur's cognac. This exclusively Grand Cru Brut de Fût is aged half a century in small oak casks, then manually transferred directly to individually-blown bottles at its natural alcohol strength, so it has never been manipulated. Extremely powerful, it is the true expression of a great cognac, embodying the spirit of Grande Champagne. The pride of Maison Brillet, each bottle is numbered to harness its memorability.
As with all of Brillet's cognacs, Brillet Heritage Brut De Fut 45% is hand-crafted in the family distillery in Les Aireaux, a small hamlet near Jarnac in Cognac. Proudly presenting tradition that dates back to as early as 1656, the double distillation process has had centuries of practice to be able to offer today’s superb selection of Cognac’s. Valuing tradition, timeless creations like the impressive age of Brillet Heritage Brut De Fut 45% showcases the true expertise and sophistication of this Cognac house.
Presentation of the bottle
Both the age and brilliance of this Cognac are immediately evident at first glance. A traditional label sits boldly in the center, revealing swirl, serif fonts that convey its history expertly. Sepia tones complemented by black coloring create a sense of familiar minimalism that allows the Cognac to speak for itself. A perfect addition to a collectors cabinet.
How to enjoy
To fully appreciate the age and unique blending of this Cognac, sip slowly and enjoy it neat. Best served at room temperature with a dash of water to enable the aroma to lift to the surface.
"A brilliant and inspired Cognac that deserves every star."

CLASSIC (96-100) / HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION
Aged for 50 years in oak, then bottled at cask strength. The opening sniff offers subtle traces of marzipan, walnuts, spice cake and dried red fruits; in the second pass, gentle aromas of baked pears. On entry, elegant, classical flavors of dark caramel and old oak greet the tip of the tongue; the midpalate boasts opulent, vanilla-laden, butter and cream flavors that flourish in graceful harmony. The aftertaste is infinitely long, deeply caramel-like, sweet and spicy. A "complete package" cognac that's worth every penny. - Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast
About Brillet J R Cognac
Proud of its family tradition, Brillet Cognac insists that the history is entirely linked to that of cognac. As early on as 1656, Guy Brillet installed his first alembic (the classic still) at his property in the Grande Champagne. This was the introduction of the double distillation process that creates cognac to this day. The Brillets live off their philosophy that things made with care are more valuable, sticking to traditional techniques of production and packaging. Their motto is not to impress through high maintenance or expensive containers, but rather through a humble and high quality aesthetic: a real family business!
