The A. de Vacqueur Atemporel Grande Champagne Lot 20 is a true jewel of time — a Cognac distilled in the 1920s, originating from the prestigious Grande Champagne cru. More than a century later, this spirit stands as a rare witness to an era of meticulous craft and patience. It embodies the depth, finesse, and aromatic intensity that only long-aged Cognacs from this exceptional terroir can offer.
Its deep mahogany color immediately suggests maturity and complexity. On the nose, layers of candied fruits, gentle spices, roasted nuts, and characteristic rancio unfold harmoniously. Subtle touches of orange peel, honey, and old oak lend brightness and sophistication. The palate is full and velvety, revealing notes of dried figs, nutmeg, cedar, and cocoa, balanced by an elegant freshness. The finish is extraordinarily long, refined, and noble — leaving behind delicate impressions of wood and candied citrus.
Each bottle of this Atemporel release is presented in a 1-liter hand-blown glass dame-jeanne, made by a Charentais master glassblower using ancestral techniques. Every piece is unique, shaped and polished by hand, showcasing both craftsmanship and authenticity. The neck is adorned with a natural rope wrap, sealed with red wax and a wooden stopper, bearing the distinctive emblem of the house.
The dame-jeanne is housed in a handcrafted leather case, created by a local artisan who works with selected noble hides and assembles each piece with precision stitching. This made-to-measure case enhances both the beauty of the vessel and the rarity of the Cognac inside — a perfect harmony between tradition and art.
The A. de Vacqueur Atemporel Grande Champagne Lot 20 is a Cognac for connoisseurs, collectors, and those seeking a truly singular experience. Best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass, it offers a deep, contemplative tasting moment — the expression of time itself captured in liquid form.
Maison A. de Vacqueur is a contemporary Cognac house born from a family legacy that dates back to 1840. Re-established in 2016 by François Arbellot de Vacqueur and his two partners, Eric Aiguillon and Antoine Quéron, the brand embodies a modern vision rooted in tradition, terroir, and technical expertise. Nestled in the heart of the Fins Bois region, the house operates from the historic Malémont distillery, where every stage—from vineyard to distillation and aging—is handled with meticulous care. By blending precision, heritage, and innovation, Maison A. de Vacqueur creates elegant and expressive Cognacs that speak to a new generation of connoisseurs.
