Description
Authentic Spirits Les Grandes Jouberteries Lot 65 Cognac Fins Bois
Les Grandes Jouberteries Lot 65 is an exceptional Cognac from the Fins Bois appellation, sourced from the family-run estate of Vincent Merle. Established in 1913 by his great-grandfather, the estate is located in Val des Vignes and covers 15 hectares dedicated to Ugni Blanc grapes for Cognac and Pineau production.
This Cognac comes from the last remaining cask of a distillation from the mid-1960s. Bottled in February 2025, it was aged exclusively in the estate’s humid cellars and is presented at cask strength (49.6% ABV) without any additives or filtration. A genuine single cask release that reflects the rich character of old Fins Bois spirits.
The Lot 65 showcases a complex and candied profile. The nose reveals aromas of mirabelle plum, apricot, melon, and grape skin, with pastry and honey nuances. The palate continues with layers of dried fruits like fig and date, complemented by cinnamon pastry notes. A long, woody finish gives depth and warmth to this elegant expression.
Presentation of the bottle
This Cognac is presented in a sleek, modern bottle with a minimalist blue and black label. The image of the vineyard on the lower half of the label emphasizes its connection to the land and the vintage nature of the spirit.
How to drink
Best enjoyed neat in a tulip-shaped glass. Allow it to rest before sipping to fully reveal its layers of candied fruit and pastry. An ideal Cognac for slow, contemplative moments or a refined tasting experience.

On the nose it is delicate and very inviting. It has plenty of fruit notes like apricot, melon and orange peel. You can...
A mighty beast!
Ugni blanc and full maturation in wood. We tasted a sister bottling last year and it was sublime (WF 91). Colour: amber. Nose: this is pure fudge, mixed with pistachio nougat, the whole bound with toasted sesame oil laced with a touch of orange peel essential oil. So, what are we listening to from...
