La Prenellerie Lot 73 is an intense and expressive Cognac from the Bons Bois region, bottled by Authentic Spirits. The distillate originates from Domaine La Prenellerie, situated on the clay-limestone slopes near the Gironde estuary. Founded in 1972, the estate has embraced sustainable agriculture since 1984 and began a transition to organic production in 2015 under the guidance of Frédéric Billonneau.
This Cognac is a single cask bottling, distilled from 100% Ugni Blanc and aged in the domaine’s cellars until its cask strength bottling in October 2024. It is presented without additives, filtration, or reduction, remaining completely true to its terroir. With an ABV of 52.6%, it offers an intense and rich character.
The flavor profile is broad and complex. The nose features warm notes of fruit, pastry, and mineral freshness. The palate delivers a burst of candied and citrus fruits, enhanced by sweet spices. The finish is long, saline, and carries a chalky minerality that speaks to the vineyard’s unique location.
