The Monluc Château is situated in the historic, hilltop village of Saint-Puy, in the Gers department of France. The village has a rich medieval history, having stood the test of time and weathered a number of invasions over the past ten centuries, and the Château is named after Blaise de Monluc - a 17th century Saint-Puy memorialist, French marshal and staunch defender of the monarchy. Nonetheless, the spirit of this Armagnac house is rooted in the family - René Lassus, inspired by his great-grandfather and local winegrower, transformed Monluc into a veritable business.

On the palate, this vintage Armagnac brings a hit of feistiness, at once dry but lively, complex and soft, obtaining an overall sense of fantastic finesse.
