Introducing the fourth release in Godet’s Single Cask series: Godet 29 Years Old Single Cask Cognac (Fall 2025 Edition). Following the previous editions, the Godet 29 Years Old Single Cask Cognac is a bold and indulgent expression from the Borderies cru, the smallest and most confidential of Cognac’s growing regions. Distilled from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes and matured for nearly three decades in very old, tight-grained oak casks from the Troncais forest, this Cognac captures the gourmand soul, perfect for the Fall season.
Aged in a dry cellar and bottled at 43.2% ABV from Cask FB2113, this single cask release is unfiltered and additive-free, preserving the full character of its long maturation. The result is a Cognac that leans into its dessert-like richness: aromas of canelé pastry, sticky pecan pie, and fig paste rise from the glass, while the palate delivers caramelized banana, maple, and medjool date with warming spice and a boozy lift. Hedonistic and generous, it’s a spirit that tastes beyond its 29 years—perfect for the cooler months ahead.
This is not a Cognac that whispers, nor a Cognac that screams elegance. It speaks in bold, warming tones—an autumnal companion full of character and charm.
Godet has nailed it again with this release. Cheers.
