Eye: Barley gold.

Nose: Freshness brought by complex aromas of juniper and spices. Distant notes of rancio, a remnant of the oak barrel aging.

Palate: Fresh and lively on the palate, full of spices (cardamom, sweet pepper) and fruit (bergamot, plum). A soft and persistent finish with hints of vanilla.

Description

Maison Villevert Nouaison Réserve Gin: Oak-Aged to Perfection

This unique gin is the result of a distillation of exceptional French grapes combined with a colorful palette of 14 herbs, fruits and spices, all aged in ex-Cognac barrels from the Le Pérat Estate. Maison Villevert Nouaison Réserve Gin is so far the only French gin made from grape eaux-de-vie aged in Cognac barrels. Created and signed by internationally renowned master distiller Jean Sébastien Robicquet, this exceptional gin reveals an original balance between the texture of the spirit, the richness of the botanicals and the complexity of oak maturation.

Nouaison Réserve Gin is released in limited numbers, with each batch carrying its own unique flavor as a result of barrel aging.

Presentation of the Bottle

Reminiscent of an antique apothecary bottle, the 50cl size features a wide neck with a weighty cork stopper. The natural paper label also gives a vintage feel, heightened with a few copper details to set off the color of the liquid contained within.

Serving Suggestion

This exceptional gin will reveal its complexity on ice or in a variety of classic cocktails. Best served tall with tonic water or soda water, we recommend garnishing your Maison Villevert Nouaison Réserve Gin & Tonic with a long twist of orange peel and a few black peppercorns.

About Maison Villevert

Maison Villevert has a long and varied history. The house was established in the 1550s by Jehan Robicquet in the early years of Cognac-making history and is one of the first known Cognac houses. Today the house is known as much for its Cognac as for its Vodka and Gin, with brands such as Ciroc and G’Vine enjoyed the world over. It truly is a wonderful example of how centuries of expertise can be combined with the cutting-edge technology of today to great effect.

Owner, entrepreneur, and cellar master, Jean-Sebastian Robicquet is the brains behind this innovative house. Having dedicated his entire life to Cognac and every facet of the industry, his mastery can be felt at every level of the business. In addition to creating fine spirits, Maison Villevert also specializes in packaging, marketing, and distribution and is the ideal choice in a partner for a small producer looking to take their spirits to the world stage.
