Atlantic des Gabariers Original Tonic Water
“Made in Charente”, the new, locally produced tonic water from Brasserie de Gabariers
When one hears "made in Charente", the word Cognac immediately comes to mind (why wouldn't it? this is Cognac-expert.com after all...), however, Pascal Mounier, owner of Gabariers beer brewery, has other ideas for the region. Integrated under the "Atlantic" brand, this new tonic water sits alongside various artisanal beers and homemade pineau to bring a new, innovative product to a region dominated by our old friend Cognac.
A real grass-roots word-of-mouth campaign started this passion project off, with Mounier selling to local distributors, pushing locally produced products over their multinational counterparts. Now, thanks to its original and fresh flavor and popularity across the region, this tonic water is ready to travel across the world in search of taste buds to excite and intrigue.
This tonic water is unlike anything you've tasted before, with a unique position in the mixer market, an artisanal soda that brings a unique freshness, subtle bitter notes and plenty of refreshing, effervescing bubbles. It is the perfect companion for your cocktails or long drinks, adding that "French touch" to your beverage.
Unlike the more well-established, international brands, this tonic water is less citrusy and a little less sweet, meaning it lends itself perfectly to a floral, fruity gin to enhance the flavors.
How to Enjoy
This tonic can be drunk alone, with its bright bubbles offering a refreshingly cool moment on a warm summer's day, or with your favorite gin in a long drink!
Presentation of the bottle
Mounier has chosen to present his tonics in exclusively glass bottles, not only to avoid the excessive use of plastic in the market (and save the turtles in the process...) but also to maintain the aesthetic quality of Cognac's products, so it can stand proudly alongside your favorite XO on any shelf.
