Description
A favorite of our founder... Marancheville XO Cognac
A hand-selected blend of premier cru eaux-de-vie have been chosen for the Marancheville XO Cognac from the estate's very best barrels. Boasting a distinct rancio character (found only after a lengthy ageing process), the Cognac combines complexity with finesse, offering a warming wintery bouquet of spice, nuts and candied orange.
Marancheville’s XO is a true triple threat, a 30-year age, premier cru provenance and a distinguished rancio flavor make it a real competitor as an XO, it's no wonder it's one of Max's favorite Cognacs... a seal of approval from the Cognac expert himself!
Produced exclusively with Grande Champagne Cognac, the flavor profile is, as expected for a premier cru product, sophisticated and complex. The light aromas of white flowers and violet that perfume the palate are typical for this region's soil, while notes of candied fruits, nuts, leather, wood and musk can be attributed to the three decades this exquisite XO has spent maturing in the noble estate's cellars.
How to Enjoy:
The delightfully deep and spicy notes of this Cognac make it the perfect winter warmer, enjoy it alongside a cup of freshly-pressed Arabica coffee as a delectable digestif, preferably served in a snifter or tulip glass so you can appreciate and savor every single aroma.
Presentation of the Bottle:
This classic and bold design of the carafe is typically Marancheville in style, its square shape perfectly frames the wonderfully warm amber colors emanating from the Cognac. Its smooth clean lines reflect the smooth and distinct palate of the XO Cognac stored within.
The stylish silver topper finishes off the stunning design, which has white, black and gold detailing on the label and neck of the bottle. The decanter equally comes with a cardboard presentation box for gifting, storage or display purposes.

Complex, long finished interesting XO
This was the cognac number 3 in the 2020 Advent Calendar.
it is a very interesting cognac, the podcast was great, lot of insight, it is a pretty young and very small cognac brand.
spicy nose with orange/orange peel very present
Palate, the orange peel is still there and maybe some nutmeg, spicy but smooth.
Very long finish with earthy tones, musty, rancio.
This is a great cognac to drink neat after dinner!
Smooth
Really smooth cognac, very rich and complex in the mouth. The finish is long
One of my favorite XOs
After having read the recommendation by Max here I decided to order.. verdict: a total winner. Probably even better than Martell Cordon Bleu (which is an extra cognac and is one of my favorites). Great, great cognac - very smooth, very round.. not sharp at all.. and really worth the money
Really a mooth, easily drinkable Cognac. Great for beginners!
Great value for money I'd say, this cognac is really balanced and smooth. The punch is very, very careful - and the Grande Champagne grapes make this cognac really delicious. Bravo!
One of the greatest 2016 newcomers
This XO is one of the best Cognacs I've taste in 2016, it is complex and balanced - very well balanced I'd say. These two distillers have created a great Extra Old Cognac which can easily compete with the top 4 (Hennessy, Courvoisier, Remy Martin, Martell).
À propos de Marancheville Cognac
A young brand by name, but not by experience, Marancheville Cognac is the creation of two family men, Gregoire and Laurent, who decided to not only distill eaux-de-vie for the larger known brands, but to put their passion into creating quality cognacs under their own brand. What a great result!
