G.B. Fookes VSOP Fine Cognac

G.B Fookes VSOP Fine Cognac
The G.B. Fookes Fine Cognac is made up of grapes from both Petit Champagne and Champagne regions with at least 50% from the Grande Champagne terroir. Boasting both fruity and spicy notes of dried fig, candied orange, cinnamon and tobacco, this Fine VSOP Cognac epitomizes fall as it is gentle, warm and inviting.
Curated with intention to introduce Cognac to a new and younger audience, founder of the brand, Richard Wiggins has developed two blends under the G.B. Fookes label which produces the Cognac in the Petite and Grande Champagne terroirs in France and then bottles the Cognac locally in Melbourne Australia. The brand is the result of Wiggins’ love for Cognac and recognition of its “old and stuffy” image. As a result, G.B Fookes prides itself in offering fine Cognac as a result of excellent craftsmanship and outstanding grapes of the renowned Cognac region, that is presented in a cool and contemporary bottle design.
Presentation of the bottle
Crafted in France but bottled in Melbourne - This Cognac has carefully been curated with the younger modern Cognac drinker in mind. As Cognac is often given as a gift, bottle design and packaging is deemed very important to the brand G.B Fookes, as they strived to produce a bottle offering the wow factor, it is showcased in a beautiful slender bottle that arrives in a serene wooden birch tube. Everything about Fookes Fine Cognac is bespoke from the hand selected heavy-set glass bottle, to the beautiful birch wood container and hand numbered hang tag. If you’re a fan of other popular spirits such as rum and or whiskey - this Australian inspired Cognac will suit you down to the ground.
How to enjoy
Cognac is also great in cocktails. G.B Fookes Fine Cognac will work wonderfully in a simple 'Sidecar', where Cognac is mixed with dry ginger and sometimes garnished with a wedge of lime. However for Summer, try a deliciously refreshing 'Cognac Julep' (use mint leaves, Cognac, sugar syrup and loads of ice). Cognac cocktail possibilities don’t stop there, as depending how adventurous you are - there are dozens of other options to experiment with!
