Eye: Light, yellowish floral color.

Nose: The nose is floral and delicate with pretty notes of jasmine and ripe banana. It is a delicate bouquet, floral than fruity - and subtlely very seductive.

Palate: The attack is surprisingly soft and silky, the pear notes are very present and accompany you several minutes after the tasting. The whole Vintage leaves an impression of very pleasant purity.

Description

An Rare Vintage 2011 Cognac from the Fins Bois

Although it is relatively young, Pierre Vaudon has a nose for spotting exceptional eaux-de-vie and proves that age is not always the deciding factor in producing very fine Cognac. This Vaudon Vintage 2011 Cognac is a stunner; a refreshing Cognac that is soft and gently fruity. Pierre Vaudon is indeed the cellar master of Francois Voyer, and also owns his own vineyards to create his own little piece of heaven in a bottle. Located in Echallat, it covers approximately 60 hectares in the Grande Champagne and Fins Bois.

The Fins Bois envelops the Grande, Petite Champagne and Borderies crus and also produces light, floral eaux-de-vie. This is a rare Vintage of stunning quality, and is really quite special. This Cognac is bottled at 43% ABV.

À propos de Vaudon Cognac

The Vaudon grounds are composed of 60 hectares with the main estate being located in Fins Bois, the largest of all the Cognac growth regions. Vaudon produces both single cru Fins Bois Cognacs and ‘multicru’ blends of these with the neighbouring Grande Champagne.

Pierre Vaudon, Maître de Chai and also owner of Maison Francois Voyer, is responsible for the Vaudon family estate. The family’s distilling origins can be traced back as far as 1771, and they have always produced outstanding Cognacs, even winning a gold medal for their 1811 vintage Cognac in 1913.
