Busca De Maniban 1991 Armagnac
Description
Busca De Maniban 1991 Armagnac
Busca De Maniban Armagnac is an expression stemming from the historic Château du Busca-Maniban, an estate deeply rooted in the Gascon region of Southwest France. Dating back to 1649, this château stands as a notable example of 17th-century architecture in Gascony, with a rich association with the Maniban family, who were early proponents of Armagnac at the Toulouse court. This offering, known as Maniban 1991, reflects the enduring practices of this renowned producer.
The Armagnac from Château du Busca-Maniban originates from the Armagnac region, with references linking it to the Ténarèze terroir, known for its structured eaux-de-vie. The spirit is produced from traditional grape varieties found in the region, such as Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche, and Colombard. Following distillation, the Armagnac undergoes a maturation period in 400-420 liter oak barrels, often sourced from Gascon forests. This aging process, typically beginning in new barrels before transfer to older ones, allows the spirit to develop its distinctive characteristics.
This Busca De Maniban 1991 Armagnac is presented in a 750ml bottle. It represents a particular release from the producer, upholding the standards associated with Armagnac production.
