Prince Polignac Cognac

The Extra Prince Hubert de Polignac Cognac is an award winning, 'Extra' quality blend made solely from eau-de-vie grown in the premier cru of the region - Grande Champagne.  This blend of very old Cognacs has led to an extraordinarily mellow Cognac - one that truly has to be tasted to be believed.

As once would expect of a well-aged Cognac, it delights with its taste of rancio - something only found when the barrels work their magic on the eaux-de-vie within for many  years.  This award winning Cognac offers great value for money for such a quality, and will definitely be one that the connoisseur will enjoy.

Outstanding product

I must say, I was surprised to learn that Polignac also has an older Cognac than XO. This Extra is really different from the standard VS, VSOP range of Prince Polignac - lovely decanter, great presentation. Pretty iconic design, I'd say. Now, the cognac is not that agressive on the nose.. but that taste is really great. It's hard to describe the balance of taste and finish. While the nose is less strong, the taste is very present, nice tones of wood.. and a loooooong after taste.
