Eye: Deep mahogany with flashes of old gold.

Nose: Outstandingly powerful. Notes of quince, candied orange, cedarwood, and mocha are complemented by evolving rancio.

Palate: Bold, with flavors only found in a truly old Cognac. Tobacco, leather, and orange peel, with the mushroomy delight of rank. Long, satisfying finish with warm toasted vanilla and deliciously structured tannins.

Description

Naud EXTRA Cognac

The Naud Extra Cognac is definitely one to save for those special occasions. A myriad of contemporary and traditional flavorings, it’s a balanced selection that places a truly old Cognac in a modern light. Boasting bold power, with layers upon layers to delve into, it’s certainly a blend you will want to take your time with. With only a small selection of eaux-de-vie making the cut, the blend was placed undo careful consideration until it hit peak perfection. A fine art down to the final detail.

A cognac as old and as brilliant as this could only be produced by a house that embodies history and tradition. Fulfilling that role expertly, the Naud Cognac house was founded in 1923 and has since been delighting connoisseurs for decades. Renowned for its unconventional Cognac’s that are totally unforgettable, it’s clear to see how a creation as exceptional as the Naud Extra came into existence.

Presentation of the bottle

A very old Cognac like this deserves a traditional display that is effortlessly sophisticated. This short decanter, with a unique shape, immediately alludes to the brilliance that lies beneath it. Stamped with simple gold detailing, the minimalist design lets the Cognac speak for itself. Matching the boldness of its flavor, the Extra is presented in a striking tube offering royal purple tones. An excellent gift for the self, or to extend to a loved one.

How to enjoy

A cognac as powerful as this deserves to be enjoyed on its own. Savor it neat with slow sips to journey through every path of its sensory journey. You might want to add a dash of water to tease the ever-evolving aromas to the surface.
