Eye: Warm old gold.

Nose: Remarkable floral freshness with leafy undertones, yielding to fine spices including cinnamon and nutmeg. Pronounced aromas of stewed fruit and quince.

Palate: Exceptionally smooth, packed with peach and apricot. Hints of resin and honey lead to a powerful finish.

Description

Hidden Delights: Leyrat Glory Extra Cognac

The Leyrat Glory Cognac is a single estate treasure, sourced from the characterful Fins Bois terroir. Thanks to a happy oversight that saw a parcel of casks being 'forgotten', this eaux-de-vie was left alone to mature and transform. Due to the barrels being stored at the very back of Layrat Cognac's Paradise Cellar, this particular cask remained hidden from view, only rediscovered after many decades had passed. In fact, there was no trace of the year the eaux-de-vie within was distilled, but it is estimated to have been in the cellar for a minimum of four decades. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 45% ABV, it tastes just like it would straight out of the barrel.

Remarkably vivacious and fresh, this is a well-aged Fins Bois Cognac to bring out on the most special of occasions or presented as the perfect gift for any Cognac connoisseur.

Cognac Leyrat is based on the Domaine de Chez Maillard estate in the Fins Bois region of Cognac. Cognacs created here are renowned for their complexity and elegance; the family who first established the House were adamant on the production of natural and clean eaux-de-vie without any added sugars. All of the grapes grown for Leyrat Cognacs are handpicked from vineyards on the estate and cultivated using organic fertilizers without chemicals. Internationally awarded for quality and taste, Leyrat Cognac can be found on the most prestigious tables in the world.

Presentation of the Bottle

Of course, such a rare release has to be bottled in a very special package. The crystal decanter features a rounded shape with details that catch the light at every angle. The oversized stopper and gold lettering on the bottle also help to make it shine. A polished black presentation case completes the look.

How to Serve

As one would expect of a Cognac of this provenance, this is a bottle to bring out for special occasions. It’s sure to impress your dinner guests with its detailed packaging and rich aroma. Serve it as a digestif, alongside dessert or simply on its own.
