L'Essence de Courvoisier is a high end cognac from the House of Courvoisier. The crystal decanter actually looks like a teardrop, and fills 70 cl of a fine blend. Over 100 rare eaux de vie, some date back to the beginning of the 20th century are united in this Cognac. The crystal bottle comes from Baccarat. This decanter has a very special history: It is formed in the shape of a ring, actually it is a reference to Napoléon.

Courvoisier is amongst the four leading Cognac houses in the world - also known as the 'Big Four'. Legend has it that the emperor Napoléon himself chose Courvoisier as his preferred Cognac, therefore Courvoisier brandy is often referred to as “The Cognac of Napoleon”. The company dates back to 1828 and since has its headquarters in the town of Jarnac.
