Remy Martin V.S.O.P. Fine Champagne Cognac (750ml)
Remy Martin, a respected producer established in 1724, is one of the leading Cognac houses. This V.S.O.P. Fine Champagne Cognac represents a key part of their range, first introduced in 1927. Remy Martin is notably recognized for its focus on Fine Champagne Cognacs.
This Cognac holds the Fine Champagne designation, meaning it is a blend of eaux-de-vie sourced exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus of the Cognac region, with at least 50% from Grande Champagne. The chalky, clay-limestone soils of these prestigious areas contribute to eaux-de-vie known for their aromatic potential and ability to age well. The grapes used are primarily Ugni Blanc, which are distilled twice in copper pot stills along with their lees to enhance complexity. The resulting eaux-de-vie are then aged in French Limousin oak barrels for a period exceeding the V.S.O.P. minimum, typically between four and twelve years.
This offering is presented in a 750ml bottle, with an alcohol by volume of 40%.
How to drink
Remy Martin V.S.O.P. Fine Champagne Cognac can be enjoyed in various ways. It is well suited for sipping neat, perhaps in a taster's glass or a balloon glass to concentrate its aromas. Alternatively, it can be served on the rocks in a large tumbler. For a refreshing experience, consider mixing it with ginger ale or tonic, which can highlight its fruity notes. This Cognac is suitable as an aperitif or as an after-dinner drink.
