Nose: Undeniably, unapologetically pear. Pear jam or cooked stewed pears. Overripe extremely aromatic Williams Pear. It’s so true to the fruit.

Palate: Pear jam with traces of oozing ripe fresh pears. Respectful of the primary ingredient. Of a very high quality.

Description

Lehmann Reserve de Famille Poire Williams Eau-de-vie

Step into a world of elegance and refinement with Distillerie Lehmann's Eau-de-Vie Reserve de Famille Poire Williams. As the oldest artisanal distillery in Alsace, Distillerie Lehmann is the proud holder of the prestigious label EPV - Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, a state-given guarantee of excellence and a testament to the distillery's rare and ancestral know-how. Founded in 1850, this establishment has carried the torch of savoir-faire through six generations, producing eaux-de-vie that are true ambassadors of the long tradition of quality associated with French food and drink.

Origin: Six Generations of Mastery

Located in the heart of Alsace, Distillerie Lehmann has been synonymous with tradition and refinement since its founding. Through 170 years and six generations, the Lehmann family has been perfecting the craft of eaux-de-vie distillation, passing down the love and mastery for the process, resulting in spirits that embody the essence of French excellence.

Production Process: Tradition Meets Perfection

This Eau-de-Vie Reserve de Famille Poire Williams begins with the rigorous selection of the finest fruits at optimal ripeness and perfect health. Once approved by the Master Distiller, these fruits undergo fermentation for up to six weeks under the action of the fruits' natural yeasts. Thereafter, the double distillation process takes place using traditional copper alambic Charentais, a process crucial to the final quality of the product. After distillation, the eau-de-vie is aged for 8 years in dame-jeannes in the attic, a practice that aids in the evaporation of the esters and keeps the brandy's aroma and color pure and clear. With each sip, you'll discover a smooth, flavorful, and distinct taste that is truly unforgettable.
