Nose: Very pretty. Intense. Not as obviously strawberry as the Distillerie Windholtz Eau-de-Vie de Fraise from maceration. With air, the strawberry becomes more apparent, but it has a wild side. Smells like crushed wild strawberries. Utterly beautiful nose!

Palate: Extremely fine, of very high quality. A textural sipping experience, which slowly fades away. The Strawberry is more apparent on the palate than on the nose. Ultra-dense, concentrated strawberries picked from the wild.

Production Process: Mastering the Art of Fermentation

Windholtz's Eau-de-Vie de Pur Fruit Fraise breaks the mold by utilizing fermentation instead of maceration in its production process. While for some fruits, maceration is permissible, this eau-de-vie comes from fermenting strawberries – a process rarely used due to the fruit's naturally low sugar content. To create this exceptional spirit, an astounding 100 kilograms of carefully selected strawberries are needed to produce just 2.1 liters of eau-de-vie. This tedious process, combined with the absence of added sugars, colors, or any other additives, makes this eau-de-vie a testament to Windholtz's commitment to quality and purity.
