Nose: noble cherry.

Palate: intense noble with an exceptional fruitiness that expresses the full aroma of the "Guigne" cherry.

Finish: long fruity perfume.

Description

For the production of this noble drink, fully ripe dark cherries with large stones are selected, resulting in a fine fruity aroma. The almost black "Guigne" cherry is a refined wild cherry, typical of the landscape in eastern France. For 100 kg of fruit we obtain 19 bottles of 70 cl. The careful production goes out with a thorough quality control, where only the best fruits are picked.

The cherries are freed from their stems and fermented in the fermentation tanks for 4 to 5 weeks with daily stirring. In this way, both the fruity flavors of the pulp and the tarter flavors of the pits enter the premium brandy, giving it a slight almond aroma. After distillation, however, Meyer Kirsch "Grande Reserve" is not yet at the end of its journey. It is followed by five years of aging.
