Der Lavenat XO Cognac durfte etwa 30 Jahre lang in Fässern aus französischer Eiche heranreifen. Seine Reifeperiode geht 20 Jahre über die erforderliche Zeitspanne hinaus, die für einen XO Cognac vorgeschrieben ist. Mehr Aroma und Fülle gibt es kaum.
Die limitierten Cognacs von Lavenat wurden voller Hingabe produziert. Kellermeister Bernard Lavenat liebt jeden einzelnen von ihnen. Das Handwerk ist sein Lebensinhalt. Bernards Leidenschaft veredelt alle Sorten, die als seltene Kollektionen auf den Markt gelangen.
Obwohl der Dekanter wie eine Sekt- oder Weinflasche aussieht, enthält er eine Assemblage aus 30 Jahre alten Eaux-de-vie. Die Flasche wurde mit goldener Folie und nostalgischen Etiketten geschmückt.
Ein erstklassiger XO sollte leicht temperiert und unverfälscht ins Glas gefüllt werden. Wenn der Cognac einen Augenblick lang im Tulpenglas atmen darf, scheinen seine Geschmacksprofile zu explodieren.
