Bertrand XO Cognac

Golden colour with reflexes of polished copper. Spicy notes mingled with dried fruits, fine wood, dark chocolate on the nose. On the palate this cognac is smooth and spicy with perfectly integrated alcohol. The finish is medium to long, ending on spices, chocolate, dried fruits and roasted nuts.

Aromas of wood, chocolate, and vanilla. Palate has some light fruits, spice, and wood. Fairly smooth with a long finish.

The nose has stewed, spiced apples, mangoes and violets. A touch of rhubarb. Absolutely amazing. I had never heard of Bertrand cognac. Then I tasted their XO, really rich and balanced. The aromas are fantastic! The finish could be a little less punchy though. The price could be slightly lower (10% or so), on the other hand you support the Bertrand family.. so that's totally fair to pay
