Beschreibung
Chollet Napoleon Cognac
The Chollet Napoleon Cognac is a great introduction for anyone who's new to the delights of this craft Cognac house. The Cognac’s mature age is shown in both the dark color of the delicious nectar and the tasting experience itself. It first thrills with a plethora of aromas on the nose, followed by a complex yet balanced taste sensation on the palate. Thanks to its extensive aging process whereby the eaux-de-vie spent at least 10 years in oak barrels, each sip presents a long and pleasurable aftertaste to savor. Unveiling quality that rivals that of certain XO classified Cognac, it makes a fabulous addition to any liquor cabinet, and one that offers great value for such a high-quality Cognac.
The history of the house of Chollet is a reasonably young one, when compared with other ancestral distillers in the local Cognac area, however, this doesn’t make it any less credible. Born in 1971, Jeannine and Jacques Chollet set up their own distillery after years of hard work and dedication to secure themselves on their farm in Boutiers St-Trojan. Ever since the business has excelled and expanded - and now stands proud with the founder’s two sons Bertrand and Christophe in charge of the Collet Cognac and its future developments.
Presentation of the bottle
Presented in a traditional style decanter, Chollet Napoleon Cognac reveals a deep amber color significant of its mature age and powerful aromas. Its black and gold label work gives the final product an air of sophistication and added luxurious feel without being too overstated, remaining true to the brand’s humble reputation.
How to enjoy
At a Napoleon quality, this Cognac is a great choice for drinking neat. As its powerful, woody, and robust tasting notes deserve to be appreciated in their entirety. Enjoy as a digestif, or, if you prefer, with a mixer for a refreshing long drink, in a cocktail, or pour over ice to experience some subtle flavor differences.
Über Chollet Cognac
The house of Chollet Cognac might have a shorter history than some in the region, but it's a fascinating one. In addition, the stor just goes to show what can be achieved if you truly want to follow your passion. The hard work that the founders of Chollet Cognac undertook in 1952 is tantamount to the success of the house today. It's a wonderful example of how a small, artisan brand can bring the delicious wonders of the world of Cognac to us, as a consumer. The range on offer from Chollet includes some very old Cognacs–very certainly ones that will appeal to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. Definitely a brand to explore for both the connoiseur and the less experienced Cognac drinker.
