a guilty pleasure at good price
It is truly an astonishing cognac and the only regret is that bottle is nearly finished. With incredibly complex nose and finish with intense accents of apricot, plums, vanilla, butter and spices (just to mention few from a long list of impression). Finish is rather long and pushing you to meditation and calm, it's a perfect finish for a long busy day. I recommend this cognac to all gentlemen aged close to 50 because when you enjoy it, it is as if you have a deep discussion with God. :)
R.I.B.
This is a perfect Cognac because its not to sweet but have some sweet fruits and plums together with good oakiness. This Cognac is very smooth and there is also some spices coming in the taste. The finish is very balanced, medium to long with the sweet fruits and some oak and before you know it the glass is empty. It's great to find a very good Cognac after searching for many years and when you are 60 it's perfect that the Cognac is more than 50 years and to that price. When you purchase this Cognac you should always consider to buy two at the same time because the first bottle will be gone.............
Über Tiffon Cognac
With strong ties to the Scandinavian country of Norway, the history of Cognac Tiffon dates back to 1875. Tiffon is to this day a family run business, and is based at the beautiful family home, the Chateau de Triac, just 5 kms from the town of Jarnac. The Chateau itself has a battle-scarred and convoluted history, dating back to the 11th century, which includes being razed to the ground by fires and completely demolished during the Hundred Years’ War. Today, the family grows 40 hectares of Grande Champagne and Fins Bois vines, overseen by cellar master Richard Braastad, who comes from an old cognac producers’ family.
