Camus Collection Renoir 'Woman after the Bath' Cognac
This Special Reserve edition of the Grand Masters Collection uses the painting ‘Woman After the Bath’ by Pierre-Auguste Renoir as its central motif for the Limoges porcelain decanter. A blend of various crus, this Cognac is presented at 40% ABV.
Since Jean-Baptise Camus founded his company in 1863, four generations have followed in his footsteps to turn this small winegrower into a world-renowned Cognac house of distinction. Still a family-owned company, Camus was held in high regard by the Tsars of Russia until the revolution and in the 1960s forged a strong relationship with the USA as a provider of duty-free spirits. Today, their family-owned vineyards are part of a magnificent estate of 280 hectares (691 acres), located in the very heart of Cognac. The Camus family are passionate about responsible cultivation, allowing their fields to accumulate organic matter while preserving wildlife in the surrounding environment.
This blend was bottled as a Special Release by the 4th Master Blender of Camus Cognac.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Grand Masters Collection by Camus features a range of porcelain decanters in the shape of books, each presenting the work of a great French artist. This release features a dark green porcelain glaze decorated with 22-carat gold to really make the artwork stand out. Combining regency aesthetics, famous French paintings and premium Cognac, each of these decanters is a shining example of opulence and luxury.
The decanter itself has been produced by Artoria Limoges, the largest manufacturer of porcelain giftware in Limoges, France. They are located on the banks of the Vienne River which runs through the city of Limoges - and just like Camus, they remain a family-owned company to this day.
