Description

Frapin Cuvée 15 Ans d'Age Cognac

Frapin Cuvee 15 Ans d’Age Cognac is a blend that consists of sought-after eaux-de-vie that have aged for a minimum of 15 years. Made up of Ugni-Blanc grapes, the aging process of the 15 years starts with 6 months in Limousin oak barrels, followed by the next 10 years aging in red casks. Over the aging period the casks are left to rest for 8 years in a dry cellar, and another 2 years in more humid conditions. After the maturation process is complete, the Cognac is then blended with older components of the house of Frapin - and then aged again for another 5 years. Such a thorough and rigorous process reflects upon the house of Frapin’s world-class expertise and capability of making quality Cognacs like no other.

The house of Frapin is fronted by a family of award winning pioneers in the art of blending vintage eaux-de-vie, as they were in fact the very first Cognac house to produce a mult-vintage blend. Favouring advanced techniques and natural treatments, Frapin are an innovative Cognac house with a vision for sustainable development. Based in the heart of the Grande Champagne region and covering hundreds of hectares of land, Maison Frapin is a brand to be truly inspired by.

Presentation of the bottle

Housed inside a tall and traditional decanter, this Cognac is a classic from inside out. Golden details on the neck and label of the bottle, accentuate the bright glow of the nectar it beholds. An elegant centerpiece or accessory to the table when tasting this Cognac delight amongst guests.

How to enjoy

Slowly sip the delicate array of aromas as they evolve and develop across the palate. Best enjoyed neat, or on the rocks - Cuvee 15 ans d’Age is a mature blend that deserves to be savored in its purest form.

About Frapin Cognac

The Frapin family has been around the Southwest of France since 1270. Always active in the domain of winegrowing, they specialized in distillation much later on and have since continued to stand strong throughout twenty one generations! The estate owns 340 hectares of land entirely in the Grande Champagne area, of which 240 are planted with vines. Frapin’s home in the beautiful castle Fontpinot in the town of Segonzac. The most famous family member was the 16th century author Francois Rabelais, after whom a prestigious Frapin Cognac bottle is named: The Cuvee Rabelais, rather fittingly, the house of Frapin is also the only Cognac estate granted permission to call itself a Chateau within the entire Grande Champagne cru. Alongside many other accolades, Frapin was the first Cognac producer to invent a multi-vintage blend, combining vintages of different years to create the perfect taste.
