Pale & Dry: Delicate florals, with sleek notes of vanilla, the wood tied powerfully well, a fine interplay of fruit and acidity laced with a touch of licorice.

Vesper: Full-bodied and round, a soft and supple sensation packed with fruity notes. Hints of warming spices and salted caramel.

Très Vénérable: Florals and spice give way to complex aromas of incense, dried fruits, vanilla and honey. Remarkable complexity and all the subtlety of a truly great Cognac.

Description

Delamain Gift Box Trio Cognac: a Luxury Tasting Set

Comprising some astounding single estate, Premier Cru Cognacs, this tasting set is sure to impress any Cognac connoisseur. A great gift, the Delamain Gift Box Trio features three different 20cl bottles to taste: Pale & Dry, Vesper and Très Vénérable. The Pale & Dry is an XO-aged Cognac, famous for its delicate and elegant nose. Vesper, aged an average of 35 years, is a more round and mature expression. Last, but certainly not least, the Très Vénérable: aged for over four decades for aromatic perfection and complexity. All the eaux-de-vie used to make these Cognacs have been sourced from the Grande Champagne region.

The House of Delamain’s unrivalled passion for creating vintage Cognac has been passed down from generation to generation since 1759, the year when James Delamain left Ireland to settle in Jarnac as a Cognac merchant. His grandson Henri founded Maison Delamain in 1824, and today the 9th generation of the Delamain family still runs the company - with a total of fifteen employees. Known for keeping to extremely old-fashioned production methods, they are also the only Cognac producer which exclusively releases Cognac aged XO or older. While they pride themselves on their Grande Champagne AOC, Maison Delamain prefer to not be tied to any specific winegrower or purchasing contract, instead of selecting individually the finest wines available every year.

Selected Awards

  • Delamain XO Pale and Dry Cognac: Double Gold, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018
  • Delamain XO Pale and Dry Cognac: Gold Medal, “Outstanding”, IWSC 2014
  • Delamain Vesper Grande Champagne Cognac: Gold Medal, IWSC 2010
Presentation of the Package

The slim 20cl bottles are as elegant as their full-size counterparts, featuring distinct labels to distinguish between the three expressions. The set is presented in a white box with a cut-out section showing the labels. It would make a great a present for anyone who loves the finer things in life.

How to Enjoy the Delamain Gift Box Trio

This is a tasting set of exceptional quality and the perfect introduction to the House of Delamain at an approachable price tag. Enjoy each bottling separately, or get the tulip glasses out, line them up and explore the world of Premier Cru Cognac in a tasting with your friends.

About Delamain Cognac

With an incredibly old family tradition, Delamain Cognac (et Cie) makes for an exciting Cognac house with roots dating back to the early 1600s! The family tree couldn't be more complicated, and yet the Delamain brand has managed to survive since its creation in 1762. This is a Cognac house that is unapologetic when it comes to quality, selecting only the very best from its suppliers in order to create its own exclusive Grande Champagne products. With the British aristocracy having influenced the Delamains for generations, their Cognacs such as Delamain Le Voyage, Tres Venerable, and the Grande Champagne Vesper - are authentically catered for blue blood!
