Description

Courvoisier Succession JS

Courvoisier Succession J.S. is an award-winning Cognac blend, no longer produced by Courvoisier. Today, the Succession Cognac is an important collector's item. Dripping in history, this blend was created to celebrate the crowning of Napoleon, Emperor of France at the beginning of the 19th century. Made up of the very best Grande Champagne reserves, for generations, Succession was the brands best kept secret - hidden in the cellars of Courvoisier Chateau for decades.

A precious Cognac encapsulating the pure passion and history that goes into curating exceptional quality Cognac:

“Succession is not only a Cognac but the true expression of the winegrowers's skill: distilled from their own harvest and aged with care in their cellars. An exclusive Grande Champagne from one of the best villages, full of delicacy, elegance and complexity. True Connoisseurs will love its subtle and smooth intensity".

The house of Courvoisier combines old techniques with new technology, valuing the delicate blend of art and science when producing their Cognacs. With exceptional quality also being at the forefront of the brand's values, the house of Courvoisier even toasted the Grand Opening of the Eiffel Tower back in 1889. Such a momentous occasion sets the tradition that Courvoisier Cognac is the perfect drink choice for special occasions and celebrations.

Presentation of the bottle

Succession JS comes in a handmade, wooden replica of the “Chest of Secrets of Napoleon”. Stamped with a crown illustration, the bottle itself embodies luxury and finesse. A rare and rather regal collectors item that is well and truly fit for a king.

How to enjoy

One to be savoured, this is a top-quality Cognac to be enjoyed as a digestif at the end of a good meal. Sip it neat to appreciate the Cognac for all its glory. With rich notes of creme brulee and hot fruit cake, Succession also pairs perfectly with an indulgent dessert or cheese board selection.

About Courvoisier Cognac

Courvoisier is amongst the four leading Cognac houses in the world - also known as the 'Big Four'. Legend has it that the emperor Napoléon himself chose Courvoisier as his preferred Cognac, therefore Courvoisier brandy is often referred to as “The Cognac of Napoleon”. The company dates back to 1828 and since has its headquarters in the town of Jarnac. With prestigious bottles such as Courvoisier Napoléon or Josephine, the Cognac house is at the top of the luxury spirits market. The Courvoisier VS, VSOP, and Rose Liqueur are also very popular. The drink is strongly ingrained in US Hip Hop culture with Busta Rhymes and P Diddy dedicating the song “Pass the Courvoisier” to the traditional brand.
