History of Cognac Maxime Trijol

The Trijol family set up their estate in Saint-Martial-sur-Né in the mid-1800s, and the first pot still was installed in 1859. Over the years the house of Maxime Trijol has remained humble to its roots as a family run business, meaning, years of knowledge and expertise have been passed down through five generations. The house of Maxime Trijo gained professional distiller status in 1962 and the house has since strived and succeeded in expanding and cultivating its own vines to use when distilling and ageing Cognac Maxime Trijol. Today, the house boasts twenty two 2500 litre stills, which has undoubtedly allowed the house to expand range and production in order to sell their Cognac in much larger quantities than the brand used to.

Maxime Trijol Cognac Today

The estate of Maxime Trijol is run today by Jean-Jacques Trijol and is one of the largest distilleries in the whole Cognac region. The small, close-knit team prides itself in producing Cognac of the highest quality in the traditional methods that have been honed throughout the decades.

Cellar master, Jean-Jacques Trijol keeps a close eye on the distilling and ageing processes and oversees the production of each and every bottle of Cognac Maxime Trijol. Therefore, no Cognac leaves without being tested at every stage of production. The Cogna is crafted by either Jean-Jacques Trijol himself, or one of the many other highly skilled cellar-masters working at this Cognac house. With a clientele stretching much further than France, once the Cognac is bottled, the final products are ready to be shipped around the world.

To ensure authenticity and quality of utmost credibility, Cognac Maxime Trijol bottles are all quality controlled and marked with batch numbers which allow traceability back to the exact barrel that the cognac came from.
