Tasting review by producer: On the eye - a golden color. On the nose, a fine aroma with notes of grapes, vanilla, walnut, and chocolate. On the palate - the taste is smooth fruity, with light aftertaste of nuts.

History of Favraud Cognac

It was back in the early 1850s when the dream of one Jean Favraud - to become a cognac producer - became reality.  Château de Souillac was the location for his passion, and he began tending the land, growing the vines, and producing the eaux-de-vies that would in the future become the cognacs to be enjoyed by so many.

Favraud Cognac Today

So successful was Jean and his future family members in creating said cognacs, the house today comes under the umbrella of the Ladoga Group.  In the 21st century they produce a small but select range of cognacs in qualities that range from a VS through to an XO.
