Domaine Breuil de Segonzac

Domaine Breuil de Segonzac

Set almost entirely in the growing region of Grande Champagne, the Domaine Breuil de Segonzac covers 57 hectares of vineyards. The house prides itself in farming in a completely organic manner, and whilst producing eaux-de-vie and cognac is the prime goal, the owners have also set aside 5 hectares of vines dedicated to producing red wine.

History of Cognac Breuil de Segonzac

The house has some older cognacs that were produced over the past few decades, many of which have won awards in many prestigious awards in years gone past. Every aspect of cognac production is carried out in house, and continues to be done so through to the present day.

Cognac Breuil de Segonzac Today

Today the house of Breuil de Segonzac is in the capable hands of Patrick and Marie Brillet. The couple have diversified, not only producing a good range of cognacs, but also have renovated a stone cottage on the estate that’s rented out to holidaymakers who wish to experience not only the beautiful countryside of the Charente, but the joy of staying at a cognac estate and being able to visit the distillery and cellars and discover everything there is to know about the production of cognac.

News, Products, Awards

The cognacs produced by estate range from the Grand Breuil Cognac VS Grande Champagne, to the Grand Breuil Cognac Tres Rare Grande Champagne. Prices range depending on the age of the cognac purchased. The cognacs have won many awards over the past years, including the Concours National de Vins Biologiques and the Concours Mondial du Vin de Londres. Other products produced by the estate including Pineaux des Charentes and red wines, for which 9 hectares of the vineyards are solely farmed.
