A de Fussigny Cognac

Located in the historical center of Cognac, France, A de Fussigny Cognac was established in 1814 on the banks of the iconic Charente River. The brand pushes the idea of modern luxury, incorporating tradition, authenticity and craftsmanship with modernity and innovation. The estate's 200-year-old cellar has a particularly humid environment thanks to its proximity to the river, meaning the maturation process produces a high quality and unique character to Fussigny’s Cognac. The estate boasts a selection of Cognacs from all growing terroirs, but focuses primarily on distilling eaux-de-vie from the prestigious Fine Champagne region (Petite and Grande Champagne), utilising the rich soils to concentrate on high quality and a distinct flavor profile. Using ancestral expertise and savoir-faire, the estate's seasoned cellar master blends the finest selection of eaux-de-vie to produce a particular finesse to each flavor, adding a complex character to each individual Cognac.
A de Fussigny Cognac has a no-plastic policy, ensuring they do not use or create plastic waste for their packaging.

History of Cognac A de Fussigny
Founded in 1814, the estate is located across the Petite and Grande Champagne terroirs of Cognac. A de Fussigny uses a more than 200-year-old cellar to age their Cognacs, with its unique humid environment encouraging maximum maturation, thanks to its proximity to the Charente river. The river itself is rich in a history of “gabarres” passing by on barges, transporting and trading the precious eaux-de-vie and wine that render this region famous. The brand pushes prestigious expressions in their Cognac, now moving into the modern age with innovative designs that continue to respect the ancestral heritage of the Maison. Blending modernity with tradition, A de Fussigny has won several awards for their Cognacs over the years, and has established a reputation of quality and craftsmanship amongst Cognac consumers the world over.
A de Fussigny Today
The estate's USP can be found in its branding, with product and bottle design standing out from others in the market. Its handwritten labels and signature add not only a personal touch, but a hallmark of quality and seal of approval by the brand's esteemed cellar master. The idea of handwritten labels is often associated with the pre-digital traditions of yesteryear, now adapted to please the modern millennial drinker. The estate's core beliefs include authenticity, tradition, innovation and above all, independence.
Flagship Products
In 2010, A de Fussigny took home several medals at the SIP awards, including Gold for their Fussigny Selection and Fussigny Grande Champagne, and even attaining Platinum for the Fussigny XO.
Their Grande Champagne VSOP is certainly one to try, offering indulgent aromas of orange peel, prune, licorice and chocolate, with an exotic addition of lime and coconut and the warming notes of vanilla and sweet tea.
The brand also has a selection of Millesimes but their Héritage Cognac is perhaps what they're best known for. A limited-edition piece in a crystal carafe, it was released to celebrate the 200-year anniversary of the House's distillery. Finding the perfect balance between intensity and elegance, it is described as a "masterpiece of time and of long-perpetuated artisanal know-how", composed of eaux-de-vie ranging from 30 to over 100 years old.

Fantastic Cognac. For me it was a discovery. Less than a Paradis, but better than famous brands XOs
I bought a bottle of Cigogne Noire XO brandy, produced and bottled (in 2011) by A. de Fussigny. The label states that it's produced in Cognac area and aged 5 years by the banks of Charente river. Despite all these facts, it's still named brandy. Do you know anything about Cigogne Noire and reasons for it not being labeled cognac?

Its a smooth, gracious and pleasantly aromatic premium cognac. Its great packaging indeed magnifies its contents!
Since they have new ownership, A de Fussigny is much better quality. Much smoother, aromatic, light and soft. really like their cool packaging too
A. de Fussigny had a really bad image in the UK these years.. their cognac sometimes tastes like soap.. sorry to say that, but it's true. while the bottle design is really nice, there is a lack of quality sometimes. but also from a brand perspective, Fussigny was not necessarily a product you would go buy as a present (at least not in England).
I bought this in Florida ...The flavor is amazing and I have all my friends hooked on it. We can’t buy it in Nashville I have tried other more expensive.. and award winning brands and they are awful in comparison! This has a smooth fruity warming blast of goodness. My daughter has looked in California? Why is this so hard to find?.anyone know of any thing similar I can buy?
