A Family Affair: Delamain Grande Champagne Très Vieille Réserve

As one of the oldest family-owned and run Cognac houses in the region, we are delighted to feature a numbered lot of Delamain's exclusive Tres Vieille Réserve Cognac from their Reserve de la Famille.

In fact, as the name suggests, this very bottle is selected straight from the Delamain family’s private cellar - one which they would have usually only shared with friends and family. In fact, it was only in the 1980s that Delamain began to allow the public a glimpse into their private collection.

This very bottle is from 1995, and as with all Delamain Cognacs, are crafted exclusively with grapes grown in the Grande Champagne - also known as the Premier Cru. It is known for its chalky soil, unique maritime climate and undulating hills of vineyards… that are perfect for producing very fine Cognac.

While it was bottled in 1995, a Tres Vieille Réserve from Delamain practically shines through with its age and quality. It will be blended with a selection of eaux-de-vie well over 50 years old.

Upon investing in this rare collector’s item, one will own a little piece of family history from one of the most effortlessly family run houses in the entire region. Established in 1759 by James Delamain, it is still run by direct family descendants.

This Cognac house has a history of craftsmanship, to which it attaches much importance.
