Since its establishment in 1832, the Castarède family has been the cornerstone of France's oldest Armagnac house, spanning six generations under the stewardship of Florence Castarède today. With a legacy just under 200 years, the company boasts an extensive vintage Armagnac collection, including bottles dating back to 1893. Notably, the last two cellar masters have each served for over three decades, ensuring consistency and quality reflected in all of their products. Beyond being an Armagnac house, Castarède is integral to the region's identity and the promotion of Armagnac globally, led by Florence Castarède's active engagement with international audiences.

In the early 19th century, the Castarède House was established in Pont de Bordes, marking the dawn of Armagnac trading. With Baron Haussmann's support, the family entered the business in 1832, originally known as Jules Nismes Delclou & Cie. Ennobled by King Louis XVIII in 1818, they adopted the Castarède name. Despite facing geographical limitations, the family has passionately promoted Armagnac, notably Raymond Castarède and subsequent generations. Today, Florence Castarède leads the company, sharing their heritage globally. In 2006, she opened a Paris showroom, fostering cultural exchange. Through the centuries, the Castarède family's dedication to Armagnac endures, spanning nearly two centuries.
