Eye: Pale gold.

Nose: At first, round and juicy apples, followed by some sweet spices, eventually finishing with a clear note of freshly cut grass.

Palate: Gentle and rounded. Melting in the mouth, with clear flavors of orchard fruits, leading to a distinct and persistent finish of cinnamon.

Description

Godet Calvados Michel: Late Summer Harvest in a Glass

Sourced from Saint Symphorien des Monts, this Fine Calvados has been double micro-distilled in an artisanal pot still for a superb flavor experience. The Godet Calvados Michel has been crafted from 100% ‘Prince Albert of Prusse’ apples, a popular culinary variety with a particularly sharp taste. Aged for a minimum of three years in French oak casks, the spirit has been allowed to develop exceptional spice notes to complement its sweet fruit aromas.

Founded in 1782, the House of Godet ranges amongst the oldest Cognac houses. The Godet family has been based in the seaside town and former trading hub La Rochelle for 400 years and since the very beginnings of Cognac production, they have played an important role in perfecting this culture. Cognac Godet has been in the hands of the same family for an astonishing 15 generations, who have placed tradition and excellence at the heart of their business. Godet is also one of the few Cognac producers who focus on cultivating and using the Folle Blanche grape variety, the original Cognac grape.

The Godet family's expertise in wine-making results in outstanding wine and Champagne as well as Cognac - an excellent standing for a family-run company. Their knowledge of distilling also allows them to produce delicious Calvados, as evident in this bottling. The business is headed by Godet president Jean-Jacques Godet, assisted by his three sons Jean Eduard, Maxime and Cyril.

Presentation of the Bottle

With its classic curves, precious details and modern visual elements, this is a bottle that is sure to stand out. The deep punt and wax seal show a nod to the past, while the bold turquoise color scheme of the wax and label give the packaging a distinctly 21st Century feel.

How to Enjoy

Perfect for rounding off a substantial meal to perfection, this is the perfect Calvados to enjoy with friends late into a summer’s evening. Pour into tulip glasses and wait a few moments to allow the aromas to fully open up before taking a sip. Alternatively, enjoy on the rocks for a more refreshing experience.
