Distillerie Garnier 6 year old Calvados
Description
Distillerie Garnier's 6 Year Old Calvados is a testament to the family's five generations of experience and expertise. Since 1877, the distillery has been perfecting the art of creating exceptional quality Calvados, passing down their knowledge and skills from one generation to the next.
Crafted using 100% apples, specifically 30 varieties of bitter and bittersweet apples, the fruits are meticulously washed and manually sorted before being crushed and pressed. The manual sorting process is an indicator of the superior quality of the fruits used in every bottle of Garnier's 6 Year Old Calvados.
After a natural fermentation that lasts several months, the liquid is distilled in a copper column still, which was purchased in 1923 and still used to this day. Following distillation, the Calvados is then aged in French oak barrels to create the perfect balance of flavors and aromas.
The result is a 6 Year Old Calvados that is the perfect transition between a young and fruity Calvados and an older Calvados containing more developed mature oak notes. It's best served neat after a meal and in good company. It can even be enjoyed in the traditional French spirits way, in the middle of a dinner as the famous "trou normand."
Not only is Garnier's 6 Year Old Calvados a great drink to enjoy on its own, but it's also perfect for infusing into sorbets and other desserts. The unmistakable imprint of the apple in all its purity remains front and center, making it a must-try for any connoisseur.
Experience the perfect combination of tradition, expertise, and quality with every sip of Garnier's 6 Year Old Calvados.
